Food & DrinK

We are Roman Way Brewery, an experimental micro-brewery based at the Royal Ordnance Depot in Weedon, Northamptonshire.

We are called Roman Way Brewery because we are located close to Watling Street, the first Roman Road built in Britain. This link to our Roman past gives us inspiration for the names of all our brews.

Our mission is to provide great real ale! Whether you visit us directly and sample one of our onsite events at the tap room or alternatively you discover our beers in one of the many free houses that you will find across the Northants region, we hope you enjoy the experience.

All our beer is hand-crafted and brewed using traditional methods. We use the highest-quality ingredients to ensure we create the best pint we can – always made with love, pride and care.

New this year we will have great Thai cuisine from BAAN SABAI, who come from Watford, near Long Buckby. They offer wonderful Thai cosine from their mobile set up, doing many outdoor events, festivals, food fairs and often to be found serving their delicious Thai delights outside the Wheelwright’s pub in Watford village. Chicken satay, spring rolls, and a range of Thai curries to mention just some of the tasty treats on offer. Yum yum!

Johnny’s very popular hand crafted sausages and burgers will be back this year too. They are a great addition to the variety of hot food available. Always good with a long cold drink, alcoholic or otherwise!

Johnny had always wanted to have a go at making his own sausages having watched his hero, the late Keith Floyd, making it all look so easy on TV. Allie, Johnny’s wife, made it all possible when she gave him a sausage maker for his 40th birthday. That’s now over 10 years of Johnny’s gourmet sausages.

The double minced pork Johnny uses is from the best cuts. Johnny’s artisan sausages are high meat, low fat, and cook exceptionally well on the BBQ. With the addition of burgers it is gonna be a tough choice!

Located just inside the hall, the café will be serving tea, coffee, and a variety of scrumptious cakes throughout the event. This year the Picnic Café is being organised and run by the marvellous ladies of Pattishall WI. So do please come and support us. Outside there will be a traditional ice cream van if you need to cool down.
